PLEASE READ THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF HIRE BEFORE YOU BOOK, WHEN YOU HAVE BOOKED AND PAID A DEPOSIT, YOU ARE AGREEING TO BE BOUND BY THEM
The person whose name appears on the Booking Form agrees to take full responsibility for ensuring that all members of the party adhere to the Conditions of Let set out below.
In these Conditions of Let, SunChalets refers to the owner of the chalet you are booking.
- The accommodations for hire are located at Chalet Numbers 28, 43 & 53 located at Sunbeach Holiday Park, California Road, Scratby, NORFOLK NR29 3QL and hereinafter called “The Chalets”
The Hire Fee is for the rental and use of the Chalet Only. On-site amenities, Club Oasis passes are supplied when booking chalet 28 only. Bedding (please advise if you DO NOT want the bedding and you are supplying your own), are provided by the Owner to the Hirer free of charge, and do not constitute any proportion of the Hire Fee. The Owner has no control or influence whatsoever should these amenities not be available. If these amenities are not available the Hirer is not entitled to any form of refund of the Accommodation Fee. These Terms and Conditions of Hire are a binding contractual agreement between the Owner and the Hirer, and both the Owner and Hirer will agree to be bound by them.
- The number of people occupying any one Chalet is limited to that stated in the brochure or website, unless by prior consent with the Sun Chalets.
- You must pay a £50 deposit on booking, with the remainder of the balance payable 30 days before the start of the Let. At the discretion of Sunchalets a £50.00 “security” deposit, for bookings of one week or more, refundable against the chalet and inventory being left in a satisfactory condition. If a booking is made less than 6 weeks before the start of the holiday payment of the full rental charges must be made at the time of booking, having first checked that the Chalet can be reserved for you. Failure to pay the balance of rental charges by the due date (30 days prior to arrival), will result in the Sunchalets treating the Chalet as available for re-booking. No reminders are sent out. Payment can be made by bank transfer.
- Please notify Sun chalets of any cancellation in writing. If a notice of cancellation is received between the dates of your deposit being received and the final payment being due then the deposit will be retained unless the Chalet can be re-let. If cancellation is made within four weeks of the holiday start (i.e. the whole rent has been paid) then the whole amount paid will be retained unless the Chalet can be re-let. If a re-let is successful then a full refund will be made, less an administration fee of £25 per week. If the Chalet cannot be re-let then no refund will be given.
- To safeguard against cancellation charges & other unforeseen eventualities we strongly recommend you take out Cancellation Insurance. Should the Chalet, subsequent to booking, become unavailable through any cause, you must accept that the SunChalets Norfolk’s liability is limited to the amount of any rent paid
- NB: One Pet is allowed. No Smoking inside the Chalet
- You accept that the responsibility for the chalet is the sole responsibility of the guests occupying the accommodation during the rental period. All vehicles are also left at the guests’ risk. Guests agree to absolve SunChalets of any responsibility for any accident or mishap to persons or chalet whilst on the premises or whilst engaged in any activity therein, or from any illness or injury arising from any causes whatsoever.
- You agree to use the Chalet solely for its intended purpose as self-catering accommodation and to accept Sunchalet’s right to refuse to hand over the Chalet to any person deemed unsuitable to take charge. Causing a nuisance or disturbance to neighbours or other guests on site, unreasonable behaviour or disrupting the running of the site may result in the SunChalets requesting you to leave.
- You agree to allow Sunchalets or agents access to the Chalet at all reasonable times. We will only ever request access to your chalet in case of an emergency, e.g. a water leak.
You must respect and look after your accommodation during your stay and you must leave the Chalet clean and tidy. Please let us know of any damage or breakages so we can repair or replace them for the next guests. We reserve the right to retain a charge for any damage or breakages from the “Key” deposit. You must vacate the Chalet by 10am, at the latest, on your day of departure unless special arrangements have been made with Sun Chalets. This is to allow us to prepare the Chalet for the next guests.
- All of our portable electrical appliances have been tested and approved within the terms of the new Fire Assessment Regulations. As the use of your own personal electrical equipment is out of our control it must be at your own personal risk.
- The Owner will provide freshly laundered bedding for the double and bunk beds. The Hirer should provide their own bedding for the sofa and "Z" bed, towels and tea-towels etc.
- Keys for the Accommodation will be available by means of a chalet key safe outside the front door – the code to the safe will be advised to you before you arrive at the chalet.
- If you lose your Key a replacement key can be arranged by contacting our agent (Contact number of the agent will be advised before you arrive at the chalet). The cost of a replacement key is £10.00 PLUS a call out fee of £15.00 payable in cash at the time of the call out and payable directly to the agent
- Guest arrival time is from 16:00 hrs onwards.
- The Chalet must be vacated by 10:00 am on the day of departure
